Ramesh Chengappa has been appointed treasurer of the district BJP. A press release issued by district BJP President M.M. Ravindra stated that N.M. Kalappa and Kodi K. Ponnappa have been appointed General Secretaries of the district unit of the party. The party leadership has also appointed eight Vice-Presidents, eight Secretaries and 72 members to various units in the district, the release added. For Madikeri town unit, B.K. Arun Kumar has been appointed President and J. Mahesh and Manjunath General Secretaries, the release added.
