Rashmika Mandanna and her father appeared before the Income Tax Officials at the Regional I-T Commissioner’s Office of the Principal Income Tax Department at Mysore, yesterday to submit documents asked by the department. IT officials are suspecting under reporting of income and it is alleged that Rashmika got payments in cash for several of her hit movies.
It was further reported that her entourage included nine persons, including auditors and accountants, who carried two backpacks and a kit-bag.
IT officials had raided her house and properties owned by her father at Coorg on 16th. After the raid a notice was issued by the department for her to appear before them with certain documents. In the raid, IT officials were able to locate and seize 25 lakhs in cash. They also found that Rashmika was holding onto 2 Pan cards.
It is illegal to have more than 1 Pan card. If the IT officials ascertain that she has used the Pan Card to conceal income or avoid tax, a penalty and a fine will be charged by the IT Department.
