Puthari,  the harvest festival of Kodagu and one of the most  important  days in the festival  calendar of Kodagu is slated to be  celebrated on November 22nd.

Prominent astrologer Shashikumar K. Pandit of Ayengeri announced the auspicious  date at the  Sri Padi Igguthappa Temple in Kakkabe.

The  ritual cutting  of  the fresh sheaf of paddy  will be at 7.45 pm and the other rituals will follow soon after  .

The ‘Kaladcha’ festival will be celebrated at Sri Igguthappa Temple  on November 21st, a day prior to Puthari
