Speaking after inaugurating the new branch of the  Kodava Samaja in Kushalnagar Akhila Kodava Samaja President Mathanda Monnappa said that women played a vital role in transferring Kodava culture and tradition to the next generation. He regretted that people neglected traditional culture and were influenced by Western ideology. B.A. Subaiah and C.A. Muddappa were also present on the occasion.
