Today the people of Coorg celebrate the birth of river Kaveri – The River Goddess,  mother to the Kodavas.  Kaveri is the river  they hold sacred – the river on which the prosperity of the land, of its people, traditions and culture is dependent.

We wish all of you a very happy and prosperous Kaveri Shankramana.
