Two Poachers Arrested in Bangalore with Tiger bones from Dubare

Yesterday the Bangalore Police arrested 2 poachers with tiger bones and parts of other animals. One of the accused has told the police that the tiger was poached in Dubare Reserve Forest.  The forest officials are also suspecting the bones to be from Dubare or Nagarhole in Coorg. Police Sleuths recover tiger pelt

Sleuths of the police Forest  c.i.d. cell posing as potential buyers  arrested two dealers in illegal animal parts, and recovered a tiger pelt. Forest Officials   recovered stolen  teak wood worth Rs. 65,000. Officials led by the RFO M.S. Chinnappa raided the house of one, Usman and recovered 25 cubic feet of  teak wood.  There were no arrests made since the alleged culprits had absconded,  it is suspected that the same gang was also involved in various other offences including theft of forest produce.
