A visual treat at Raja’s Seat

The annual fruit and flower show which began at Raja’s Seat in Madikeri, yesterday has proved a crowd-puller as thousands of tourists are thronging the venue.
The special feature of the flower show is the depiction of the lifestyle and traditions of Kodavas through floral depiction of ‘Kodava Ainmane’ or ancestral homes (in picture) that has been recreated using lakhs of flowers. Read More

Three-day Flower Show to open in Madikeri tomorrow

The annual Flower Show will be held from tomorrow till Feb.10 at the Raja Seat Garden.
A preliminary meeting was chaired by Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Annies Kanmani Joy yesterday to review the preparations for the event.

Raja seat in a mess after the Flower Show

The Hindu reports that even after 2 days after the Annual Flower Show, Gandhi Maidan is still in a mess and area looking like a garbage dump.
As we reported earlier the sudden influx of tourists made the annual flower show in Madikeri a huge success but it left a load of garbage around the area and angry locals.
