Sarita Poonacha to approach Human Rights Commission

CC Staff

Sarita Poonacha has decided to file a complaint with Human Rights & Women’s Rights commission against the repeated humiliation that she has been endured to face from her political colleagues in Coorg.

During the last Zilla Panchayat meeting, Sarita has raised some issues and alleged corruption in some deals, but instead of clearing the issue the ZP President and his colleagues had “threatened to send her out” the meeting.  Disgusted, she left by herself.

This is not the first time Saritha has been treated this way by the ZP which has a BJP majority, while Sarita is from Congress.  In June last year she was heckled out from the ZP meeting and it is alleged that Virajpet MLA K.G.Bopaiah who was present in that meeting, had made “derogatory remarks” against her.
