According to a report in Deccan Herald, fed up with the elephants entering their plantations and destroying crop, some planters have removed Jackfruit and Banana yields from their estate, hoping that with their choice of food gone, the elephants wont enter the plantations. They have dumped the harvest next to the road for the elephants to feast. Elephants enter the plantations in search of food and water.
