M.B. Annaiah(Harry) passed away on 4th of August 2010. He was 86 years old. Annaiah was a legendary sportsman of Kodagu. He played Cricket and Hockey for Wander’s sports club, Madikeri and also Captained their team.
He represented Loyola College Madras, Madras University and the erstwhile Madras state in Hockey,with distinction. He was a sportsman par excellence and he played Rugby at the highest level in Bombay and Ooty. Golf was a passion, that he took to later on in life and excelled at it. Annaiah was also a human being with a heart of gold, his absence will be felt.
