Kusha, the male elephant that went missing from Dubare Elephant Camp in Kodagu District, has finally been caught by the Forest Department on Tuesday. The tamed elephant ventured into the forests one-and-a-half years ago in search of a mate and had not returned. Read More

A male wild elephant always travels in search of its mate. He will jump from one herd of female elephants to another until he finds a female willing to mate. After a bull elephant has mated with a female, he will stay with the female and guard her from other males.
