JDS MLA M C Nanaiah has accused the speaker of state assembly K G Bopaiah of breaching the state protocol and embarassing the elected representatives of the district by not inviting them to the inauguration ceremony of Makkuta-Virajpet road.

The Rs 28 crore Makutta-Kerala road was inaugurated by K G Bopaiah on Saturday. Congress legislatures, M P Vishwanath and MLC T John were also not invited for the function, including MLC M C Nanaiah. Congress members had raised objection during the function and had complained that the government function is being held as BJP function.

Nanaiah further added that Bopaiah is well versed with the state protocol, but has been regularly ignoring to pass on invitations to elected representatives of other parties and making the state function look like a single  political party function.
