DC: Expedite land allotment to Ex-servicemen

Chairman of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Board, and Deputy Commissioner, Kodagu (D.C.) A. N. Gowda,  directed the three Tashildars of the district to submit the final report on the sanction of lands to Ex-serviceman by November 22nd 2010.

Presiding over the Ex-servicemen’s adalat here he informed that there were 109 cases pertaining to the Ex-servicemen’s land allotment.

Superintendent of Police  (SP) Manjunath Annigeri who was also present said that cases pertaining to the Ex-servicemen will be given top priority by his department.

Kodagu District Ex-servicemen’s Association chairman Major General, retd. B. A. Cariappa and Secretary Lt. Col retd. A. E. Ganapathy brought up at the meeting, the long overdue projects of General Thimmaiah Memorial and shifting of the War Memorial to the notice of the D.C.

Replying to the query the  D.C. said that both the issues are awaiting the final nod from the government and once that is granted survey by the district administration will be taken up.

Assistant Commissioner  M.R. Ravi and other officials of various departments and a large number of Ex-servicemen were present.

Sir,
I am a dependent of Ex-servicemen, My father is no more My self and my father Not availed any benefits, since he was a injured solder.

May i get any land allotment in/any piece of Land to live.

Respected Sir,

My self Ex-Sergent who retired on 30 Jun 1994. Holds two National Record for walking from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari in Limca Book.

I have been trying for Land allotment from District Authority i.e Panchmahals(Gujarat) but after 16 years one or other reason I am not alloted with land.

I am Post Graduate in Ecology and Environment hence land allotment would be very useful for all.
