While opposition to widening of road between Kushalnagar & Sampaje is active, the CM Kumaraswamy yesterday discussed with PM Modi the up-gradation of road from Channarayapattana to Madikeri via Holenarasipura, Arkalgud and Kodlipet – to national highway.
In June, during the meeting with Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari, he had requested the road ministry to commission a study to widen the road from Channarayapattana to Madikeri via Holenarasipura, Arkalgud and Kodlipet to four lanes, pointing to potential economic benefits.
