Police attacked in Betoli

The policemen who rushed to the spot on hearing about disturbances in Betoli village were attacked by a gang. Rafiq and others assaulted Shamsu who allegedly informed the police about the disturbances in the village. Madikeri:  Welcoming the proposal for a rail link to Kodagu, the Coorg CPI(M) secretary I.R.Durgaprasad said the railway line is going to benefit the local people. He critisized the NGOs and Locals who are opposed to the railway link.
