A successful bundh and a Cabinet berth: Appachu on Cloud 9

The bundh called by BJP to protest the UNESCO World Heritage Tag  yesterday, was total. A complete shut down till evening, was observed in Coorg. The same day, the 3 time MLA from Coorg, Appachu Ranjan was sworn in as a minister.  Appachu landed in Bangalore, decked up in the Kodava attire during the swearing in ceremony. He awaits allocation of a portfolio, eyeing the  Panchayat Raj and Rural Development ministry.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Appachu told that:

….. he is satisfied now as he got the cabinet berth which he claimed becuase of the blessings of Goddess Cauvery and wishes of the people. He thanked former chief minister Sadananda Gowda, Speaker Bhopaiah and RSS leaders for their support.
